The Institute of Modern International Relations of Tsinghua University, founded on November 17^th, 2010, is the center of the university's international relations studies. Both research and teaching at the Institute are characterized by contemporary methods and professional academic content.

The seven positions presently available at the institute cover three academic fields. They are: (1) Area Studies, including Russian studies, Middle Eastern studies, African studies, and Southeast Asian studies; (2) Non-traditional Security, including counter-terrorism, energy security and climate change; and (3) Methodology of Political Science, especially quantitative analysis and game theory.

Applicants should have good command of quantitative analysis and (other than those applying for Russian studies) be able to teach in English.

Positions are available at the three levels of full professor, associate professor and assistant professor. Salaries are commensurate with experience and according to negotiated terms.
