Developing Country Studies(DCS)Workshop Held the Second Academic Activity of this Semester

The second academic activity of this semester was held by the Developing Country Studies(DCS)Workshop in the Room 315 of Mingzhai Building from 11:40 to 13:15 on March 11.

XUE Song, a DCS doctoral student of grade 2012, gave a talk on her working paper A Comparative Study of the Moderation Transition of Five Major Islamic Parties in Indonesia. Xue briefly introduced the situation of Islamic parties in Indonesia in the Era of Reformasi, and elaborated the analytical framework and argumentation of the working paper. Several participants expressed their confusion and opinions to improve the analytical framework. Participants also discussed similar phenomenon occurring in the area where resides their academic interests.

Professor ZHANG Chuanjie, Director of DCS Program, hosted the lecture. Dr. LIU Huiqin, Director of Graduate Studies Office, Graduate School of Tsinghua University, 6 DCS doctoral students of grade 2012 and 6 DCS doctoral students of grade 2013 participated in this event.
