Spring Trip to Hongluosi

In the morning of April 20, teachers and students from the Department of International Relations embarked on the 2013 spring trip to Hongluosi.

Saturday morning, teachers and students gathered at 7:20 AM. The Student Committee provided complimentary mineral water for everyone before heading out to Hongluosi at Huairou.

Once on the bus, the tour guide provided a historical introduction of Hongluosi and Professor Zhang Lihua organized an ice-breaker activity to entertain teachers and students. This provided a great opportunity for everyone to learn about the diverse backgrounds and interests of students and teachers in the department.

When the bus arrived at Hongluosi, everyone was greeted by sunny sky and a light mist in the distance. After listening to the short introduction by the tour guide, everyone left to explore and discover all the beautiful scenery Hongluosi had to offer.

At 1:00 PM, teachers and students regrouped at the scheduled meeting place, and were led by the Student Committee representatives to a local restaurant for a delicious family-style lunch.

After a pleasant morning spent exploring the beautiful and scenic Hongluosi, and a hearty, delicious lunch, everyone enjoyed a peaceful and warm trip back to campus.

Let’s look forward to our next department outing!
